the website and the blog
I finally pulled out my old (two years!) website files and over two weeks, learned basic Dreamweaver, html coding, Fetch and Blogger. And here are the results. So many friends and students asking about my website - not very professional of me not to have one. And goals for the new year - if I make them public, I'm pushed to work on them: larger works, new mediums, more shows.

I want to stick to a medium and explore it thoroughly instead of these half-hearted attempts at play. So for now, it's screenprinting on a small DIY scale. Can't be Gocco printing as the unit is discontinued or expensive or hard to find. I'd like to explore screenprinting over my collages, a la Robert Rauschenberg and here and here. With one workshop and 4 books under my belt, there's no excuse to delay any longer.

Ah soooo, I average at least one workshop and 4 books for each new technique. This is my method as a self-taught artist without any fine art training. Studio time just takes much longer, hardly any critiquing, let alone deadlines for submissios or shows.

Above my desk at work (full-time day job) is a blank wall and I have permission to hang anything I want - so why not my own piece? I must measure that space.
